The Sabre brand was launched in 2015, with a range of products developed by 4D Products. The latest design brief looked to capitalise on the recent trend for ‘dot work’ tattoos.

The Background
Concept Design
The design team initially reviewed existing products from other brands to assess their good and bad points, looking for areas where we could innovate and improve.
A range of concept designs was then developed and reviewed with the client.
3D CAD Design
With a preferred concept identified, our 3D CAD designers created a detailed model, which was designed to be CNC machined in production. The main body was to be anodised aluminium with a laser etched logo. Visual design queues having been taken from the existing Sabre product range.
Prototype & Test
We supplied prototypes in production intent materials and finishes, which were tested by several professional tattoo artists.
