The journey began with an in-depth analysis of the unique needs of permanent makeup artists. KB Pro, a leader in the UK’s permanent makeup training, needed a tool that would set new standards in precision and comfort.
Our initial phase involved meticulous research and client consultations to ensure we fully understood the intricate microblading process from both the technician’s and client’s perspectives.
With a clear understanding established, our design team embarked on generating a range of innovative concepts. These initial designs were not just about aesthetics; they were crafted to improve the overall usability and effectiveness of the tool.
After several iterations and collaborative reviews with KB Pro, a final design direction was chosen that promised to revolutionise microblading practices.
With the concept refined, our next challenge was to bring this vision to life. Utilising advanced 3D CAD technologies, we developed a detailed digital model of the KB Pro Glider.
This model was instrumental in discussions with suppliers to estimate costs and manufacturing strategies effectively, ensuring the project remained viable and within budget constraints.
Prototyping was a crucial step in our process. We employed state-of-the-art SLA (Stereolithography) to create high-fidelity prototype parts that allowed us to evaluate the design’s practical application.
This stage was essential for testing the fit, scale, and functionality of the Glider, providing the tangible feedback needed to refine the product further.
To assist KB Pro in marketing their revolutionary tool, our team produced high-quality rendered visuals from the 3D model. These visuals not only highlighted the sleek design and ergonomic features of the Glider but also helped potential users visualise using the tool in real settings.
These marketing materials played a pivotal role in the product’s initial reception and helped secure early interest and feedback from the market.
The culmination of our efforts was evident when the KB Pro Glider was showcased to the industry. The tool not only met but exceeded expectations, winning the Micropigmentation UK Award for Innovation. This accolade was a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the 4D Products and KB Pro teams.
