Professor Patrick Gaydecki of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Manchester University is the inventor of a World class electronic amplification system used by professional violinists. 4D Products were tasked with providing the custom enclosure design for an innovative, high value housing for the V-Sound electronics.

Following our tried and tested concept design methodology, our design team investigated and proposed a range of ergonomic and aesthetic solutions. Material selection was critical, as the enclosure was to use mass production techniques, but have a high end appearance, befitting its class leading performance.

4DP’s technical team then worked along the electronic designers to detail up the preferred concept in 3D CAD. We supplied a range of presentation quality rapid prototypes during the development process.

We supported V-Sound right up to identification and selection of a contract manufacturer, delivering a beautiful product, which offers great features to the professional musician.
