A Medilink organised event in December gave SMEs the chance to discuss their innovative health care products with market leading OTC company Alliance Boots at their Nottingham headquarters.
One of the presentations from the NW region receiving special interest was given by start up company, iTens Ltd. Medilink NW sit on the board as non executive director in an advisory role along with majority shareholders 4D Products Ltd.
Their technology is an innovation in the field of pain management, originating from an internal project at 4Ds product design studio. Current applications for further grant funded development will see a one year collaborative R&D phase bringing together expertise in material science, physiotherapy, and design.
The Boots team where impressed by the innovative concept of the system, and expressed an interest in retailing the range of products when available.
