Product Design Process
4D Products were approached with a design brief to develop ‘manufacture ready’ 3D CAD data that would minimise the cost of injection mould tooling. Utilising our Product Design expertise, this was achieved by splitting the product up into smaller segments so that the injection mould tool was smaller and thus less expensive to manufacture. We designed a snap fit approach to join multiple segments together for ease and speed of assembly.
