Adam

Senior Product Designer

James is the driving force behind 4D Products, bringing 27 years of consultancy experience and a track record of helping the world’s leading brands launch hundreds of successful products. His work has included life-changing innovations like a blood coagulation analysis device and a man-overboard alert system for the RNLI, and a groundbreaking SLS device for additive metal manufacturing.

For James, great design isn't just about looking beautiful; it’s about being a force for positive change. He’s passionate about creating products that drive commercial success for businesses while genuinely improving the day-to-day lives of the people who use them.

Originally from the Lake District, James is also a talented landscape photographer. He spends his time enjoying the countryside and capturing stunning scenery across the UK.
With over 20 years of experience in product design, development and exhibition design roles, Adam combines a First Class Honours degree in Sports Equipment Design with insights from playing high-level competitive football for clubs like Manchester City and Wrexham FC. This multidisciplinary background allows him to seamlessly bridge the gap between concept and development, bringing unique perspectives to every project.

Additionally, Adam manages the ISO 9001 quality standards, ensuring precision and excellence across all operations.

Electronics Engineer

With over a decade of experience working in design consultancies around the UK, Alex combines creativity with hands-on engineering know-how to turn great ideas into commercially successful products. He’s created award-winning designs in a range of industries, working on projects spanning consumer, industrial, automotive, aerospace and medical sectors, giving him a broad perspective when approaching complex design challenges.

He’s passionate about creating products that not only work well but are intuitive, engaging, and enjoyable to use. Outside of work, he’s a keen kayaker and enjoys camping trips with his wife and daughter.
Seán is an electronics engineer with a passion for turning concepts into reality. He handles everything from early-stage prototyping and feasibility research to design for manufacture. 

He has a PhD from Dublin City University researching marine-based optical sensors for water monitoring and brings a vast range of knowledge to our team, ensuring your electrical projects run smoothly from a rough schematic through to a fully functional system.
