The Challenge:

Create a product with discreet, subtle aesthetics offering high-quality performance and the feel expected at its price point. Key objectives were to optimise the manufacturing process for low volume production and ensure the product offered long-term maintenance efficiency for on-going cost savings.

The Process:

Careful analysis of the existing product and the challenges it presented for assembly and on-going maintenance. Close collaboration with the client to deliver a range of solutions to choose from that solved these challenges and ultimately met their commercial objectives.

A robust and sleek design, engineered for efficient short-run manufacturing with scalability in mind. The innovative chassis insert assembly configuration allows for streamlined pre-assembly, enabling rapid deployment of orders and simplifying maintenance tasks.

"4D helped make the process easy and worked as if they were our internal product design team. They didn't just deliver to a specification but dug deeper into the problem and challenged assumptions to help create something beyond the initial brief. Having looked at the market for CCTV pole mounted cameras, there wasn't anyone using creative product design to make a better physical product.

By producing multiple ideas and honing down and refining the final prototype helped create a final product that we are extremely proud of. Working on design and materials to provide a high quality product within a tight cost budget provided key design challenges that which required creative thinking and team work to
get to a final solution that we were all happy with.
