The Timecode Buddy enclosure has received industry recognition, including the prestigious IABM Peter Wayne Award, and has been widely praised for its quality, style, and reliability on set.

Timecode Systems needed more than just a protective box—they required an enclosure that would withstand every type of condition and location, on any type of shoot. The product had to be robust for long-term use, while also appealing to a technically astute audience of early adopters in the broadcast sector.

We focused on delivering high-quality design and innovative material choices to inspire and engage users. After developing a fully detailed 3D CAD model, we produced CNC machined prototypes in full production materials and finishes. The prototypes were assembled and tested by Timecode Systems’ in-house electronic engineering team, ensuring the design met all technical and aesthetic requirements.

4D Products remained involved through the manufacturing phase, consulting with the factory in China to ensure the final product stayed true to the original vision. The result is a stylish, minimalist, and highly efficient enclosure that combines quality materials and finishes. The design has won awards and earned great praise within the film industry.
