A unique concept blending a high-performance e-cigarette with the refined styling of a premium pen, inspired by luxury brands such as Montblanc.

By merging elegant aesthetics with advanced vaping technology, this project enabled the client to test a new product category aimed at discerning consumers seeking both style and performance.

The client set out to create an e-cigarette that would stand apart from typical designs, combining the ergonomics and feel of a luxury pen with the technical requirements of a high-quality vaping device. Achieving the right balance between form, function, and internal component integration was essential.

4D Products began with ergonomic studies and concept sketches, ensuring the device would be comfortable to hold and visually striking. Once a direction was agreed, the team developed detailed 3D CAD models for both the e-cigarette and its charging case. Collaboration with a UK-based electronics partner ensured seamless integration of custom PCBs and firmware. Throughout development, rapid prototyping techniques—including Selective Laser Sintering and CNC machining with production-intent materials and gold plating—were used to create presentation-quality prototypes for market testing.

The final prototypes were indistinguishable from full production products, impressing stakeholders with their quality and finish. This approach allowed the client to confidently test the concept in the market, gathering valuable feedback for future development.
