Design and develop a prototype electronic device for mobile blood testing within a four-week period to support field testing with the UK Cycling Team during their winter training camp in Majorca. The housing was to be compact in form and integrate seamlessly with a part developed internal structure. The aesthetic was to be modern and aligned with the standards of a highly technical industry. The enclosure had to withstand practical evaluation under training camp conditions. Delivery of the prototype on schedule was essential to ensure its availability for testing and performance assessment in the field.

4D Products worked seamlessly with Beyond Blood's electronics engineers to finalise the internal configuration before generating a wide range of conceptual sketches for the external housing. After a collaborative evaluation process, the client identified preferred directions, allowing rapid progression into 3D modelling. Within two weeks, high-quality rendered visuals were shared to support stakeholder alignment, followed shortly after by a 3D-printed prototype for size and fit validation. Building on this momentum, two complete sets of machined, finished, and painted samples were delivered to the client within four weeks, ensuring both aesthetic and functional requirements were met.
