The TimeCode Buddy wifi Master, one of 4D Products’ most recent design projects, has beaten giants such as Sony and Canon to be awarded the prestigious IABM Peter Wayne Award – as well as an IABM Award for Excellence – at this year’s IABM Awards for Design & Innovation at the IBC show in Amsterdam.
“The TimeCode Buddy is an elegant solution to a real-world problem experienced daily by users around the world” declared IABM Director General Peter White about why the 4D Products designed project was given the prestigious award.
Developed by TimeCode Systems with the innovative product interface designed by 4D Products, the TimeCode Buddy allows production specialists in the broadcasting industry to use a single piece of kit for all of their timecode requirements.
Inventors of the TimeCode Buddy developed a prototype of the soon-to-be award winner, however they needed a design partner to translate their ideas into a consumer-friendly interface and design that they could take to market, which is why TimeCode Systems turned to North West product design company, 4D Products.

The IABM awards program, held yearly, is open to all global manufacturers and suppliers, recognising products that offer significant solutions or opportunities to the broadcast supply industry.
